Matech Technical Services is a social enterprise offering audio-visual services, including our range of creative & technical youth work projects. Matech is based locally in Guildford and offers a range of audio-visual services to support many organisations work accross Surrey.
Training Workshops & Projects
Matech runs several youth work projects including Matech Backstage and the Matech Video Project. Matech also provides youth workshops and projects in the areas of video production, live video, lighting and sound to schools, local councils, youth clubs and charities. Hire & Operation of AV equipment
Matech offers audio-visual support services involving lighting, sound and video equipment. We provide comprehensive training, operation and hire of audio-visual equipment. We have a good stock of lighting, sound and video equipment as well as portable staging to cater for live applications. Video Services
Matech provides video filming, editing and duplication. We can film productions, events, presentations, workshops and conferences and edit them into podcasts, process videos and promotional films. PAT Testing
Matech provide PAT testing at competetive rates. We specialise in testing local organisations and supply comprehensive documentation and certificates using sophisticated test equipment. See: www.matech.org.uk/pattesting
About Us
Matech is a not-for-profit social enterprise and offers educational and charitable rates for registered charities and other not-for-profit organisations. Any profits made are re-invested in the business, and into local community projects. We have strict moral, ethical and environmental codes for our business.
Matech Technical Services
Matech offers hands-on training in the use of lighting, sound and video equipment.
Training is by experienced technicians who will explain terminology, processes and operation.
All training courses are interactive and come with high quality printed materials.
Training is offered in the following areas:
Lighting – Stage, band, atmospheric & theatrical
Sound – Live for conferences, bands & other events
Video – Live feeds, recording & editing
Training is offered for the following clients:
Primary schools - Matech can offer introductory workshops for groups of up to eight children in years 5 & 6. Sessions last 1.5 hrs and are on lighting, sound or video. Sessions can be arranged in school hours or as an after school activity.
Secondary schools - Matech can offer introductory and advanced workshops on school equipment. These workshops can help enhance productions and events, and get students who are usually not involved to play a part.
Churches - Matech can provide bespoke training to church audio-visual operators to learn new skills to enhance worship. Matech runs 'Workshops for Churches' open workshop session for any church to attend - next running in 2011.
